The best of the best Calgary high school boys basketball players will duke it out in the annual Calgary High School Basketball Selects Game.  Tip-off is at 8pm at Bishop Carroll High School on Wednesday, February 10th.  Below is the roster.

HOME TEAM

#15 Awet Abraha – BISHOP McNALLY  TIMBERWOLVES 6’3 Forward
The team’s leader as its top scorer as well as a great two-way player, Coached by Dave Finn.

#5 Owen Son – BISHOP O’BYRNE BOBCATS 6’1 Forward
A quiet leader for the Bobcats, he is a high-percentage scoring threat, coached by Kurt Luttmerding.

#7 Brendon Lyons – BOWNESS TROJANS 5’10 Guard
A two-year starter with the senior team, a captain who leads with intensity and quickness, coached by Paul Kerber.

#4 Mati Sayed – CRESCENT HEIGHTS COWBOYS 6’0 Forward
One of the team’s leading scorers as well as its top defender, a  coached by Mark Baum.

#7 Tenzin Nyima – FOREST LAWN TITANS 6’2 Guard
A second-year senior and starter who has been the team’s offensive leader and an intense defender, coached by Loran Davis.

#4 Andwon Deng – FATHER LACOMBE LASERS 6’0 Guard
A starter in the Laser program for three years, the team captain and leader, coached by Ian Couture and Matthew Sauer.

#40 Brody Norton – JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER CHIEFS 6’3 Forward
The team captain, its leading scorer and rebounder as well as one of their top defenders, a  coached by Graham Grant.

#6 Josh Addo-Stewart – LORD BEAVERBROOK LORDS 6’2 Guard
The team’s scoring leader who controls the tempo and pace of the team’s game, coached by Jacques Cabelguen and Ray Raymond.

#33 Josh Jebose NOTRE DAME PRIDE 6’6 Forward
A team leader who is a strong defensive player with a strong inside presence, coached by Mike McFarland.

#15 Josh Groten ST. FRANCIS BROWNS 6’1 Guard
One of the team leaders and its leading scorer for the past two years, coached by Don Marchuk.

#23 – Rock Habib – ST. MARTIN DE PORRES KODIAKS 5’9 Point Guard
A second-year senior, he is the team’s leader and motivator while doubling as a coaching assistant with the school’s junior high team, coached by Edmund Crame and Andrew Parker.

#5 Eli Prochnau – WESTERN CANADA REDMEN 6’0 Guard
A scoring threat from anywhere on the court, the team captain is a leading three-point shooter; coached by Steve Wiebe And Doug Wilde.

#14 Eric Ranson – WILLIAM ABERHART TROJANS 6’3 POST
The team’s top rebounder as well as one of the scoring and defensive leaders of the Orange, coached by Chad Flaman.

#12 Kyle Field – BISHOP CARROLL CARDINALS 6’4 Post
A good inside player with a nice perimeter touch, he is also his team’s top ball handler;  coached by Dale McMillan.

#15 Josh Daniel – BISHOP GRANDIN GHOSTS 5’10 Guard
A second-year senior and co-captain, he leads his team in assists and steals and is also one of the top defenders, coached by Kevin O’Neill.

#11 Ian Gott – CENTENNIAL COYOTES 5’8 Guard
A three-year competitor for the Coyotes basketball program, he has captained his last two teams, coached by Brent Dickson.

#13 Ted Trewell – CENTRAL MEMORIAL RAMS 6’3 Forward
A leading three-point shooter, he is also the team’s competitive leader, a  coached by Romel Raffin.

#23 Stefan Radeta – DR. E.P. SCARLETT LANCERS 6’2 Forward
A versatile center who is both a strong rebounder and an excellent outside shooter, a  coached by Luke Deis.

#23 Mike Vanson – ERNEST MANNING GRIFFINS 6’1 Forward
The team’s scoring leader who last year captained the first undefeated team in Manning history, coached by Travis Juska

#10 Payton Karch – HENRY WISE WOOD WARRIORS 6’3 Guard
A team leader with great court vision and game understanding, he has been a good mentor to his young teammates; a  coached by Roger Belisle.

#10 Perry Gill – JAMES FOWLER FALCONS 5’11 Guard
A team captain who is a skilled defender and a great outside shooter, coached by
Ian Thomson.

#10 Vishal Banipal – LESTER B. PEARSON PATRIOTS 6’0 Guard
The team captain who displays great leadership and example for the Patriots, coached by Bill Mitchell.

#2 Jamaal Mwangi – QUEEN ELIZABETH KNIGHTS 5′8″ guard
A team leader who is a top rebounder despite giving away height, he brings his team up with his intensity. Coached by Mike Scott and Tyler Korol.

#9 Aloysius Callaghan – ST. MARY’S SAINTS 6’1 Guard
The team captain and leader, he is known for great outside shooting and outstanding rebounding, coached by Earl Amankwah.

#21 Jeffrey Cornish – ST. TIMOTHY THUNDER 6’4 Forward
A strong all-around athlete, he leads his team in almost all categories, a  coached by Mark Kolodziej.

#12 Alex Regan – SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL BULLDOGS 6’3 Guard
A second-year starter with the Bulldogs, he is consistently one of the team’s top scporers, coached by Mike Fullerton.
