Ghosts A Scary Looking Team

One look at the standings and it’s clear that the Bishop Grandin Ghosts are the dominant team in senior boy’s Div II football.

How about a 57-3 thrashing of the Crescent Heights Cowboys (2-4) in Thursday night’s Kram Game of the Week?

The victory helped the Ghosts improve to 6-0 on the season with one game remaining against McNally/Father Lacombe next week before wrapping up the regular season.

The only close calls during the regular season have been the 3-0 win over the Central Memorial Rams in the first game of the year and a 17-12 win over the 4-1 St. Mary’s Saints in week two.

After Thursday night’s victory, the Ghosts’ defense have given up a measly 16 points in six games while their offense has put an impressive 152 points on the scoreboard.

What that tells us is that their game is extremely well rounded and when they’re firing on all cylinders they’re an extremely difficult team to beat.

The cylinders on the Ghosts’ engine was firing just fine when they faced the Cowboys on Encana field.

Their offense was moving the ball at will and the defense shut down the Cowboys’ offense for the majority of the game. Continue…
